lol, i made a new website, cuz like usual, i have about 6 hours of nothing to do during each day. It took me like 2 hours to make because i painted and editing all the pictures from scracth and i made the website STARTING FROM SCRATCH using only my own html knowledge and not some dumb cheap bonghole webpage creator software. It isn't finished and i still got some gif files to put on it and it is only a one page website because i am to lazy to make multiple webpages.

NoPidy, want to play like a big guy and not use a HTML *helper* huh? Razz

then get your code straight for all browsers ^^

I am using firefox and am in an odd resolution and your page just displays all the div are not at the place you expected Wink also, the mouseovers don't work for me :/ and people, go download firefox and thank me later Very Happy

your code is clean but will display a fizzle up page on many browsers/diff resolutions.

you are using too much of this:

Code:
   #info {position:absolute; top:200; left:150}
   #theline {position:absolute; top:400; left:0}

   #thetitle {position:absolute; top:480; left:350}

   #icon1  {position:absolute; top:700; left:20}
   #icon1x {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:700; left:20}
   #icon2  {position:absolute; top:700; left:150}
   #icon2x {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:700; left:150}
   #icon3  {position:absolute; top:700; left:270}
   #icon3x {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:700; left:270}
   #icon4  {position:absolute; top:700; left:440}
   #icon4x {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:700; left:440}

   #tableprops {position:absolute; top=820; left=70}
   #arrow {position:absolute; top=890; left=489}
   #tableprops2 {position:absolute; top=820; left=650}
   #pic1 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:831; left:75}
   #pic2 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:826; left:75}
   #pic3 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:828; left:75}
   #pic4 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:829; left:75}

   #table1 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:840; left:663}
   #table2 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:840; left:665}
   #table3 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:828; left:659}
   #table4 {position:absolute; visibility:hidden; z-index:10; top:848; left:673}

   #end {position:absolute; top=2000}

I think you need to make your pos relative and not absolute, but I'm not sure. My HTML is getting rusty Sad

little advice, don't use .bmp on the net, for some reason they take so much longer to load..

Code:
<div id="icon1" onmouseover="icon1x.style.visibility='visible'; pic1.style.visibility='visible'; table1.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon1x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic1.style.visibility='hidden'; table1.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon lezbo.bmp"></div>
  <div id="icon1x" onmouseover="icon1x.style.visibility='visible'; pic1.style.visibility='visible'; table1.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon1x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic1.style.visibility='hidden'; table1.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon lezbo2.bmp"></div>

  <div id="icon2" onmouseover="icon2x.style.visibility='visible'; pic2.style.visibility='visible'; table2.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon2x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic2.style.visibility='hidden'; table2.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon mino.bmp"></div>

  <div id="icon2x" onmouseover="icon2x.style.visibility='visible'; pic2.style.visibility='visible'; table2.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon2x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic2.style.visibility='hidden'; table2.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon mino2.bmp"></div>

  <div id="icon3" onmouseover="icon3x.style.visibility='visible'; pic3.style.visibility='visible'; table3.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon3x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic3.style.visibility='hidden'; table3.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon phloater.bmp"></div>
  <div id="icon3x" onmouseover="icon3x.style.visibility='visible'; pic3.style.visibility='visible'; table3.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon3x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic3.style.visibility='hidden'; table3.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon phloater2.bmp"></div>

  <div id="icon4" onmouseover="icon4x.style.visibility='visible'; pic4.style.visibility='visible'; table4.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon4x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic4.style.visibility='hidden'; table4.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon shiz.bmp"></div>
  <div id="icon4x" onmouseover="icon4x.style.visibility='visible'; pic4.style.visibility='visible'; table4.style.visibility='visible'" onmouseout="icon4x.style.visibility='hidden'; pic4.style.visibility='hidden'; table4.style.visibility='hidden'"><img src="icon shiz2.bmp"></div>

but hey, it's a good job still, seeing how tough it is to make a page in notepad Very Happy

Yeah, I'm using Firefox too...and your site just isn't working right. Do what Nekkie said, it looks right. Very Happy

Oh, and careful with that Firewire port...I installed one along with a DvD burner in my comp and ended up literally frying my motherboard...probably because my fan couldn't handle the extra DvD drive...but still, just a word of warning. Birthday

ZoSo, thnx for the warning man. Our computer is shizzle. I totally forgot that i'd need other stuff, thnx

Crying or Very sad damnet, that sucks that my site didn't work. I like bmp files cuz they don't distort colors. For example make a black square and draw a white circle in the middle and save it as JPEG file. Reopen it then try coloring the white circle red by using flood fill and you will notice a whole bunch of pixels were missed. Lol i dunno if you understand that but that is why i like bmp files more... If i use relative positioning then the pictures don't overlap ontop of each other so i gotta use absolute... and i remember this code that is something like
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "bla bla HTML 4.01">
but i always forget to use it. I learned everything i know about html by myself and i don't like using stuff that i don't know what it does Very Happy so i didn't use that. Think that could be the problem? Lol, and i took a webpage design class in school but my teacher was so stupid i knew more than him, like, alot more than him. So i didn't learn anything new from that class. (except it gave me time to learn AU3, that stuff is fun, lol)

oh, and, i hate using absolute position. It gets so anoying writing out all the positions. But that is the only thing i could think of that worked. And i created that mouseover code on my own basically, i mean i know that it has probly been used like that before but i ran into this code in one of my html books that when you scroll over a text it changed a picture. It took me so long to figure out how rolling over a picture will change that picture and bring up other pictures. Lol, i was very mad during those moments.

NoPidy, that <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "bla bla HTML 4.01"> is there so you can validate your page at the W3schools website. I take it you knew that, but it is very important to use that function for multiple reasons
1. Your page doesn't look like crap (not saying yours does)
2. People with different browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Netscape, Opera, etc.) will be able to view your page better
3. It keeps your code cleaner so you can edit it to fix it.
Good work though, keep it up

dude our computer is so fvcked for spyware. I am almost positive we got it. For not doing anything with computers my mom knows a shitload about how to fix them but i think she found her match. I keep telling her to just totally reboot the computer but she says she doesn't wanna save all her crap at the moment. But our computer freezes so badly, it doesn't shut down (it freezes if you try), my usb port isn't working now (except my jumpdrive works, i got it to work for my cam a few times but now it doesn't at all), mgi vid wave doesn't work, yestarday the internet would connect but then not varify the password ( i don't know how but i fixed it by clicking a whole bunch of stuff in the control panel, but i don't expect it to keep working), and my msn messenger doesn't work, i deleted it and tryed downloading a new one but that didn't work either.

so wuts firefox, lol. does it cost alot? does it help with spyware? cuz i am gonna tell my mom about that if it does.

and about my firewire port. Um, how do i keep it so my motherboard doesn't fry? do i just need another fan or would other hardware be necesary.

PS If you got alot of time to waste and you use firefox can you press "Print Screen" when my webpage is up and post it on here so i can know what is wrong with my website

wuw, thnx. Lol, i was gonna do that spyware thingy but my mom said I couldn't do it cuz she said you might be trying to get into our computer Smash . And thnx for the firefox website.

...So when you scroll over the word phloater or shiz does the colored pictures appear at the top of the webpage? I will add that <!DOC..> tag and see if that helps any.

No it doesn't. And tell your mom if I was hacking into your computer I'd send you a file direct and not make you download it from a website. She can look at the site herself if she wants, it's not mine. Legitimate Business :O

PS: It sounds like your computer is f'ed up enough without me trying to get into it. You should tell her that.

BAHAHAHAHA, i found out wut was wrong, lol, i just skimmed through my code and i always forget that when I write in css form i gotta use ":" and not "=". LOL, i think it should work now, i was like, "it couldn't be the absolute positioning, i use absolute positioning so i can control what it looks like on any computer no matter what the resolution is"

lol, ok i will tell her that. Actually, I might just do it and not tell her cuz i need this computer super bad.

NoPidy,

download "spywareblaster", instsall it and update it. it will prevent malware/spyware/adware from reaching your pc.

also download "ad-aware", install it, update and run it once every week. it removes malware, etc.

you can get both from download.com

also if you don't have a virus protection, google AVG, it's free and does wonders.

ya we got "ad-aware" and "mcafee virus scan" but there is still something really screwed up. I wouldn't be surprised if it stopped while i was typing this. It is so slow. And the screen will turn blue with a warning sign for absolutly no reason. But i am ready for it. I got all my really important stuff on my jumpdrive and all my other stuff on cds. Can viruses and spyware get on jumpdrives very easily? or is it easy to clean jump drives out? I am just afraid if we totally reboot our computer that i will still have a virus on my jumpdrive. But it doesn't affect the school computers.
