Wakestock + Toronto Island = ?

///What are your thoughts on Wakestock moving to Toronto Island? Personally, I probably won't be going...the roots of Wakestock are in cottage country...the majority of the juice pigs that are gonna be there will only be there for the beer tent and the Reef bikini contest...and i'll be in Muskoka riding...salut///

Looks like it is going to be sweet! There is going to be one hell of a bottle neck at the Ferry terminal. I am assuming that everyone will be kicked off the Island at a certain time, and all the parties will be in the city.

We had looked at renting a cottage on the Island, but that is impossible....

ugly ugly ugly location. x 10 to the ugly. I wouldn't want to ride in that sewage water... and it will be rough as hell. Even though its on the river, it will still be super windy from lake ontario, since theres not much to block the wind. I guess it will make more money this way though, and that's all that's important Rolling Eyes

gay gay gay. its going ot be way to publicized, before it was whoever really did liek boarding skating and partying went. nows its going to be people that don't even know what wakeboarding/wakeskating is. not to mention its gonna be cold windy, and polluted. gay.
edit: i looed at the article at stoek city, it doesn't look that bad... but its still gay there isn't anywhere good to swim.

Say what you must......

I booked as many of the balcony rooms at the Toronto Harbour Castle as I could. They only have balconys on the 4th and 5th floor, and they overlook the ONLY Ferry terminal to the Island.

So as 50,000 people are lined up trying to get to the Island, I'll be the guy up on the balcony drinking beers.

It will be a good time.

It's a 1 minute walk from my grandparents too the ferry terminal so i'm petty stoked on that but otherwise this location is shizzle. Sometimes the Toronto beaches get closed because of e-coli thats so wack for the riders. It will be good regardless of all that shiz

I hope they have something like the wakesk8 pool to pool gap with the winch like last year.WHATEVER

they are having the wakesk8 pool gap... im going to go to it, I know they let the Am wakeskaters go to it last year... im gunna work myself over Laughing

have you guys seen the pics if the site? looks good to me. the river was designed for rowing. they can still build good inground rails. I have been to every Wake Stock since 98. rode in the first one and rode pro skate in 01 and 02(I would not call myself a pro). half of the people in Wasaga the last couple of years were there for the bands/bikini contest, so it woun't be that different this year. looking forward to it. I going to start riding this weekend, see how it goes and mabey get one more year in pro skate.
