Brain Grubb was the man of the hour at the 2005 Byerly Toe Jam. Grubb won two out of the three events. Clint Tompkins finished on top of the third event keeping Grubb from sweeping the entire contest.

this contest is soooo overated its horrible....i went and it so lame, no one was hardly landing kickflips? nothing impressive was being thrown. all this hype about how much groundbreaking shizzle was gonna go down didnt..lemons got screwed, i was so stoked to see all these pros i saw on movies to kill it in front of my eyes. and that wasnt even the case. and please the winch competition? so grubb lands backlip to shove out<--?..everyone was all "YAYYYY GRUBBY YOU OWN" fiznackling 5 minutes later chase gregory landed the same trick and no one said shizzle. fiznackling pisses me off. and if lemons would have rode he would have killed that winch. i was more impressed by nick taylor and lemons at lake fredrica than the whole toe jam competition. nick taylor is just soooo solid its ridiculous. and hes so cute.

haywoodstheman, you have some pretty strong opins buddy, why dont u enter to toe jam and try and make it more groundbreaking?, people want all this groundbreaking stuff to happen and go down, but when grubb bounces his fu#(ing dome of a rail gets back up and wins the competition, if that isnt ground breaking i dunno what is? obviously it was sick enough because the riders voted on who won the damn thing they liked it and that was how the contest was run, even if chase stuck later it didnt matter because grubby claimed it, what do you expect disco flips and raleys out of the pool, double kickflips wake to wake, honestly buddy put some thought in before u type, please u make yourself sound alot more smart and u might even earn a little cred

Interesting. I like gorath's advice, or ORRRR haywood could organize his own comp and let his friends win. It'd probably be a different story if somebody else won the comp.

HAHAHAHAHA grubby didnt hit is face you idiot, i was there he has scrapes on his stomach.. yea that sucked but honestly thats not bad ass man. have you ever seen bmx??? oh wait, ryan lemons is missing his front tooth because of bmx, but grubb scratches his tummie and everyone freaks out...please, dude watch the winch video again, 3/4ths of it is just riders sliding down the rail. all im saying is i was expecting it to be more than owc quality of riding. even though i think it would have been insanely different if nick taylor/ryan lemons/john ruark rode because those guys bring consistency and kill it every time. its people like gorath that blow smoke up grubbys ass "he fell on that rail and still claimed it." like i need "cred" from anyone here, as far as im concerned most of the people on these forums are fag losers, that post pictures of their fat friends getting up for the first time. electricsnow, its not about who won, its the overall quality of the riding, i was out there all day on friday, i dont think i saw one k-flip landed. i was so stoked to be there and be around all these cool guys but it was just dissapointing

Well, I love that you're all about arguing over the legitimacy of a wakeskate fall. thomas lost his teeth numerous times from wakeboarding, so I guess that's f-ing hardcore, huh? Especially since you can loose your teeth riding bmx. Move on, son.

And if lemons brings consistency, why didn't he make it in? I mean, did he throw kickflips and land them, yet not make it in or what? And a trick in a video didn't qualify anyone else for that comp, so I'm not sure why you're making a case for ryan.

And it's pretty clear that you're guilty of celebrity worship, just like everyone else you're whining about. It's just that you worship different people for different reasons.

Gee, I don't know what's worse, some kids being stoked on riding and trying to share that with everyone, or some kid bitching over his computer about the best competition wakeskating has to offer at this point in time. Hmmm...thanks for playing haywood!
