In case any of you pro-hardcore kids were wondering, the new Norma Jean CD is flipping sick. The new vocalist Cory, in my opinion, does a very good job of replacing Josh and adding his own throatier twist. So sick. The artwork in the cover sleeve is fun too.

I have been wanting to listen to it, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I hear it's good as well.
Oh yeah, how do you feel about The Chariot? I missed them when they came here with It Dies Today and Throwdown, and I think someone else... |

I like how energetic they are. Josh Scogin, the vocalist, never fails to weird me out. The Chariot tends to be more upbeat, which I heard Josh likes better than the slower Norma Jean method. I don't listen to their cd a ton, but it is a top notch thrashy feedbacky completely unedited live cuts record. Pretty different. _________________

I think norma jean is playing a show around here tonight.
Too much deep groaning for me, but I know alot of people who enjoy their music. |

That's one of the things I enjoy the most of... even in the CD sleeve, it says that they used no sort of digital equipment. Pure rock. |

Michael Manzer, They like to claim that... a few of the guys lived in AK till they were like 18, but technicly the band is local portland band now... they still rep both places.
One thing i will say is Portland does have a great music scene... Northwest Royale is a Eugene band they are a really different sound but they are pretty good. _________________ arson-wake.com |
