So im cleaning my ears with a Q tip when my dog decides to attack me and throw me into a wall, now i have only 10% of the hearing in my left ear. the good thing is, its not permanent and ill be fully recovered by friday, or so the doctor says. it hurts like hell and i cant tell the direction certain sounds are coming from. But the question is, should i go to school tomarrow with a note and just totally ignore my teachers and try to piss them off or should i stay home with my trusty painkillers?

I got a buddy that is deaf and has to wear miracle ears. He has to take them out when he wakeboards and his equilibirum is all off. So anytime he jumps the wake he automatically gets inverted. Laughing Laughing

Mr. Top Hat, similar situation happened to me a week before I went to Hawaii... it sucked b/c flying 7 hours across the Pacific didn't help me at all... kinda took a while before my ear was 100%, but Hawaii was still nice Cool

dude...mix the two...duh..take the painkillers and go to school anyways. it makes school much much more enjoyable. its what i did when i got my wisdom teeth pulled a couple of weeks ago: they took out all 4 of my wisdom teeth and gave me some medication that was TWICE as strong as vicatin (sp?)...lots of fun Crazy Eyes

Eh, I mess with the teachers anyway, but I like Michael's idea, do both. Anything the teachers say to you, laugh and go, "What?" Or even better, just keep looking down at your desk.

Morphine, i went today and i basically just totally ignored my teachers. i took many painkillers with me, but to no effect. it was pretty weird though cause i could like hear people talking to me but i didnt know where they were. one teacher got mad at me because i was deliberatlly not listening to him. I told him i was half deaf and he thought i was joking. then after a little bit of arguing with me and having to repeat every sentence three times he got the picture. i would ask people to repeat things even if i heard them the first time. it was quite fun.
