I was watching GD on wakeboardingmag.com, His w2w kickflips and his varial flips. They are so effortless, IM NOT GD BUT why does it seem to me that all this concave and bi-level junk is necessary to ride on. George sure does'nt need it to do that awsome stuff he does..............So why do we? Rolling Eyes Shocked

Shuvit720, Idk if your aware, but GD now "prefers" a compression molded concave skate, the Byerly to be exact, it's the rider not the board

Ok OK I did'nt think b4 I typed it. I know that GD is for Hype now, but when he rode the simple K-39 flat he could pull this sickest shiz on that board, I was just wondering why then does everyone think concaves are the way to GO?

K-39s are so light and small they hardly need anything to flip, he is good enough to ollie big enough on that board that he doenst need the extra pop to throw stuff becuae he can flip that board so quick. if you look it almost looks like he doesnt even flip it, ive seen videos where his front foot looks like it just goes straight up as soon as he leaves the water. most people however need that extra help with tricks like that. IMO

This is always an interesting debate, but as someone has already mentioned, it is really personal preference. If Kampus had a concave when GD rode for them, do you think he would have been riding it? I have no idea, I'm just speculating. He may really prefer a flat deck.

You can also look at it this way when comparing a flat deck to a concave/bi-level. A ford pinto and Lambo will both get you to the same places, but which one would you rather drive? Some may want the Lambo and others may want the Pinto.

Isn't it great to live in a free country where you can make choices on the things that are best for you? I think it is.
