Aight so i bought a snow skate, 120 bucks, rode it 2 days, the bottom ski (its a bi deck) is really reallly shredded up. all we did was ride it on the snow with grass under it. The thing is a pos or something, we went back to the shop today and kinda went off on the guys there, cuz they know jack shizzle. anyways whats the best way to get my money back or get them to do SOMETHING....I wanna report them to somewhere but dont know where to start.

Why did you go off? Did you try to speak with them about it first?

Since I live in the south, I have never purcahased a snow skate. Do they not have warranties?

seven11dmd, the key to getting what you want is zen remain calm and firm, no going off on people, first call the store, and ask to speak to the owner, if they ask you why say you had excelllent service and you would like to inform him of this sterling employee, that should get you the ear of the boss then calmly explain your situation, if that doesn't work repeqat the calm complaint process with the manufaturer, and if all else fails file a complaint with the better buisness beurau(sp?) against the shop, and if possible the manufacturer, thats about all you can do

seven11dmd, if it's a bilevel deck it most likely has a base like a snowboard. They get fizzle up, plain and simple. Just wax it or something, I doubt it's a big deal

I have a burton bi level...i shredded the shizzle out of it to the point that it barely slid freely on snow...i gave it a good hot wax....and it was almost as good as new...despite looking like crap. Mine has metal edges though.

Most likely a company that sells a product such as a snowskate that has inherant damages associated with usage will not re-imburse you or even offer you a replacement...even if it did come down to poor craftmanship. but it never hurts to try. The problem lies within the fact that you cannot prove that you didn't intentionally damage the board...its your word against theirs...and they have all the bargaining power. I feel bad for you though. It sucks to spend you money...and feel ripped off.

wow, seven11dmd, ummm thats par for the course man, I used to do rental board maintenance among other things for a shop down here, and that just needs a 3M pad, and some P-tex, and a wax job, if you lived closer I'd do it for you, it'd take me like 15 minutes, snow skates always look like that, they gwt beat up, b/c the pressure caused by the fact that that is 1/8 th of a ski, so it has like 10 time the weight it can support, so they get beat pretty bad, if that bugs you, I reccomend a Premier team series red, single level, they are pretty damned durable
