Without major radio play, Athens, Ga.-based jam band Widespread Panic has managed to attract a devout fan base and sold more than 2 million albums. But it's their legendary concerts that have inspired The Earth Will Swallow You, a distillation of close to 500 hours of footage, including massive shows at Central Park and Red Rocks as well as intimate moments backstage captured thanks to the trust forged between the filmmakers and band. The film also captures performances with longtime collaborators Jorma Kaukonen, Taj Mahal, Jerry Joseph and Vic Chesnutt.
