miller, Don't know anything about it, looks neat tho . I'm not sure I can concentrate on driving myself and riding at the same time so I can't wait to see how that works out for the real time winch missions.Just stoaked to see more electric stuff coming out there. As of right no I'm back to fossil fuel (whatever it takes to get some winching)
I hope to make moves on the ol homestead project maybe sometime in the next year.
Robby and I will probably just help out people into it, doubt there is much benefit in developing anything else for the wake industry, probably just build stuff for personal use.
We always knew that if it didn't take off in a monetize-able way , we would just share the knowledge. I would like to see people installing their own winch systems in places.
We are in works to develop a driverless 2.0 tho....
So as of right now robby has typed a 6 page document full of ideas links, cad files, and I am going to take it and ad some photos and whatnot. Should be done in time for everyone to have a winter project _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

Well for half or less you can build one. But you'll need a driver. Your boys should be able to do it tho with a speed limiter _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

Hey PopTart, any update on this? I'm curious to take a look at everything involved and see how feasible it would be to build.
Sorry BooDog didnt take off the way you guys had hoped, was looking forward to seeing a bunch of small independent 2.0 cable parks pop up with your guys unit. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Steven M, thanks man. But from this I found out exactly how to come up with my own 2.0 and as soon as the wife graduates (we are putting her through school debt free!) I will be throwing up my own spot somewhere. So boodog was a giant success to me. I can't tell you how awesome it was to have my own 2.0 to shred for a bit that was the real payoff. And while I was out there riding behind it I didn't care one bit about how many people in the industry gave a shizzle about what we were doing.
If I can get robby to teach me how to do it I think everyone else can.
we still need to get the wiring diagrams and frame info in the document.
Right now I can tell you that if we posted the 5/6 page doc there would be more questions than answers.
I hope to get this up so everyone can build one over winter. and our plans should teach you how to make this in a directional winch or 2.0 _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

I can probably dig up what all I have and can share here soon. Never got to actually drawing out the diagrams.
I have photos and about 4 pages of stuff robby and I put together.
I would completely change how/what I built now days.
those guys at trek-touw are on it. _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

I don't feel like sidetracking this thread, but there were plenty of people along the journey I would rather not share with. They can figure it out themselves, just like we did. _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

We followed this thread for quite a bit. It seems there is still interest for a manual on building a DIY electric winch. We're working on setting up a webshop so parts can easily be sourced (along with our ready to go winches for people looking to go down that route).
We can release a manual if there is interest. |
