Hey guys i thought we could make a thread and talk go-pro stuff here
Ill post a pic of my new camera pole i made out of a ceiling fan duster
anyone know of a good free video converter to change my vids to wmv without loosing the size or quality
i have been using that anyvideo converter thats free but it looses so much quality and also makes the entire video smaller
I don't know of any decent video converters but I have engineered some cool mounts for the GoPro, my friend created the GoFloat, I'll post pics from home tonight!! _________________ ☆PHOENIX WINCH☆ FACEBOOK YOUTUBE
Just caved and went and got me a GoPro today already have problems with my computer not recognizing it. I'm running iBook G4 w/ Mac OS X version 10.4.11; processor 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4 with 512MB of memory built in. I really want to edit from my laptop I just don't think this one's gonna cut it. Any suggestions? _________________ You make me want to punch a baby!

Yeah, that sounds a bit too ancient to be editing video on, unfortunately. One thing you can try is removing the SD card and using an SD card reader to transfer the files. That should at least get the video files on your computer. Then you'll just have to worry about how to play back the video files, or how you're going to import them into your video editor. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground www.integrity-wake.com

same here. tried everything i can think of and been searching online to no avail. video plays fine when played off the memory card in the gopro, but crashes anytime i try to move or copy it... _________________ I <3 wakeskating
FINALLY GOT ONE! Hero2 outdoors pack & picked up a suction cup mount (have already taken like 5 or 6 videos from my truck to try out different angles). Super stoked for it.
Anyone have good suggestions for building a sturdy pole-mount that have worked well for them? Gonna be taking this thing on a canoe trip over memorial weekend and want to have some solid shots for rope swings on the river and general tomfoolery. I've got some ideas but I figured I'd ask so I don't reinvent the wheel.
Also, anyone know what kind of impact these things can take in the water? Would love to do some cliff jumping with a helmet cam/pole but obviously don't want to break it when it hits the water.
This looks like a good pole mount design. Nice and sturdy. Might stiffen up the PVC a little somehow (someone in the comments suggested a dowel rod) but I think this'll be my weekend project build. I want to get a surf kit anyway so I can use the FCS plug from that.

Well, I just joined this club and waiting for everything to ship and arrive here. Will have it in time for a 1500 mile drive from north dakota to california for memorial weekend at the lake. Should be a great time. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray
