|
|
Hello I live in tampa. I want to hit every spot possible and I need your help!! I'm new to wakeskating and don't know a lot of winch spots. If its possible I would like to ask all my fellow wakeskaters to reveal there winch spots from here to Clearwater, st Pete, Seminole, oldsmar, new port richie, Orlando. this will not only help me it will be useful to new and upcoming wakeskaters and any out of towners that wanna come and skate. If possible include exact location.
I know the M gap, Seminole gap |

It's not that anyone wants to be a greedy spot-hog, but I know some locals up there are careful about who they give away their winch gaps to. It's mostly about showing that you can respect a spot & not draw too much attention to it, but I won't deny that it can also be a territory thing... There's a precedent against just revealing all the locations of good spots, but this is a great place to meet people who could potentially show you all the gulf coast gems.
hope I don't come off like a doucher on this one,

walkonwater, meet some people, alot of good people on here from around here that would be down to ride.
then maybe they will show you some spots. otherwise hop on google and get busy! there are plenty to be found around those areas. |

If people want to find then hit a spot then OK. To hit that spot up all the time with a lot of different peeps....not cool. Your spot will only get blown up or taken away.
I have found some pretty dope spots. Both winch spots and tucked away rails. But when I do find these gems I ONLY ride with the people I found it with and we make it point not to bring ANYONE else EVER.
Well I dont know where Im going with this........but just find your own spots and keep them secret. If it wasnt originally your spot, then respect it like you found it. Nothing is worse than getting a session ruined because its overcrowded. |

I found the best spot down by me. Only told a few people about it and the spot was great for a year. Then one of the few people i told about it decided to bring a few of his friends, and then they brought their friends, and now the spot is blown up. Cops used to never bother us, now they come all the time within 10min of being there. I guess im just trying to say be careful with your spots and who you tell and dont tell about them. My favorite spot is a bust now because of it. |

google maps is a winchers best friend. dont be lazy, do the work.
if you find a spot, respect it, and dont bring a party.
driver, filmer, rider... each person takes turns hitting it
ive found that talking to the locals that are walking their dogs or playing with their kids helps out alot too. show them that you arnt a punk, and just having a good time.
oh and PICK UP YOUR TRASH!!! _________________ www.theliquidplayground.com

Not everyone jump in at once and say the same thing. I get the drift. Find my own spots and make sure to bring the town and country squad with me!!!! Hahaha!! on a serious note I get we're u guys are coming from so we can stop repeting ourselfs. |

I can understand protecting spots around Florida, but not everyone has this problem... t-rex and the crew I have been riding with out here in the west are the complete opposite. _________________ www.kcwatersports.com |
