This has been bothering me for some time, and now that the 2005 stuff is out, I couldn't take it anymore. I am calling out Liquid Force owners, riders, and supporters. I'm sick of companies thinking its ok to just get by, without creating their own, and challenging others.

This is two Liquid Force ads, one from 2004, and one new for 2005.
Please read the Concave part for 2004, especially the parts about wood, and its responsiveness, and tracking better, and sitting deeper in the water. Read it slowly and realize all the qualities they are talking about have to do with the board’s wood construction. This bothered me since the day I read it.

Now, the 2005 write up on "their" Armada wakeskate from www.wakeworld.com, which is also in the Liquid Force 2005 catalogue.

#1. From '04 "While some manufacturers have strayed from the true skate feel, we're continuing to follow the path of what truly works."
- What is the "true skate feel?" Do they mean wood? Do they believe it truly works or did cassette truly believe, and Liquid Force followed, stole, borrowed, whatever.....

#2. "Wood is good, and it feels better too." OK, here is $200 for a board. Are you kidding me? How can Liquid Force be taken seriously? So after reading the 2005, I guess they must have changed their minds, or came to their senses, or found someone else's ideas to use.

#3. "It's more responsive, pops better, sits deeper in the water, and tracks better than anything else on the market." Remember, they are talking about WOOD! Anyone who has any sense at all knows response, tracking, how it sits in the water, even popping, has nothing to do with being made of wood. If you disagree, please, let's talk about it.

#4. All this talk about wood, and now for 2005, they are saying wood is not all its cracked up to be. How can they just change their minds after such strong beliefs in wood. I'm not even going to get into the fact that the Armada looks very similar to Butter boards.

I won't even go to #'s 5-100.

Whose ideas are these? Is Liquid Force actually coming up with their own ideas? Are they actually helping wakeskating in any way? Will someone from Liquid Force actually explain their ideas? Is that possible?

The hypocrisy I see in their ads makes me sick to my stomach. Whether you want to call it false advertising, misinformation, misunderstanding, or pure laziness, something is not right there.

i dont really read much about wakeskates but i read that whole thing and i agree with you. liquid force is pathetic

It is their way of reaching the largest demographic in wakeskating; beginners. Most of these come from wakeboarding, so their first impression is that hyperlite or liquid force will make the best boards... There is no way to stop this except to get the word out about rider owned companies and for those companies to advertise more. As for LF and hyperlite, yes they deserve to die and I hope they burn in hell.

Oh, f*ck yes Seaman, I just read that LF thing yesterday when comparing decks to the Integrity for someone else. It seriously irked the hell out of me when I read it, for every one of the reasons you listed, especially the change in tune they have for wood decks.

It sucks that LF is so uncreative and untruthful in the way they market and develop their skate line. I used to have some faith in them, specifically their wakeboard stuff, but lately...

i beleive its a case of a big company seeing wat lil companies are doing and haveing the money to advertise it first as there own and claim it as there own while the lil companies are trying to promote their product. with the whole graphic thing, i dont care about obriens logo because that symbol wasnt created by integ but for real why would Lf put one on their boards. maybe they thought they could be cool? i think its just dumb.
