Im not one to hate on peoples riding abilities at all I mean if you're in it for fun more power to you. But Im talking about people who buy these crazy expensive wakeboard boats and don't even wakeboard/wake skate. I mean there is someone on my lake with a 2011 MasterCraft X star and I have never seen them do any tow sport.
My brother has a friend who HAD a brand new Super Air Nautique, they didnt know how to use the ballast and only kneeboarded, and its not like they even used the wake. But they had this boat until one day they decided to take the winch strap thing on the front of their trailer off before puting their boat in the watter. So they backed their boat into the ramp and it fell to the asphalt, cracked the hull and screwd up the prop and everything Bang Head

I guess im just jealous of their nice boats haha

I'm not sure how old you are, but I suspect you're young. Some day, this won't even matter to you. Laughing

Either you'll get your own boat like this, or you'll realize you don't necessarily need a boat like that to have fun on a wakeskate.

Seriously, I really don't think the "wakeboard boat" industry could survive off of wakeboarders alone. Even though there are nice wakeboarding boats for people who really want to use that stuff, people with money will want nice boats to recreate with also. Maybe the space inside of those boats are a draw also...I really don't know because I'll never own a boat like that (nor do I have any desire to). Plus, the guy who's selling that boat has to eat. Shocked

Find the people who have the small boats, like tinnys, "lemonscrafts", whalers or shiznackle speedboats (I fall into the latter category) etc. Those are the people you want to become friends with. Wink

people buy lambos and fast cars and they dont race.. people like to buy nice toys. they just like spending alot of money just to have it

Well im not really jealous and Ik that I dont neeeed aboat like that to have fun, I think it would be just dumb to buy a boat like that if I didnt use it for what it was made for

the point is, people buy things that they like and sometimes use that thing for an unintended purpose, and still have fun!!. for example, i want to buy a sport nautique, but i sure as hell won't be skiing behind it. get it?

11RANDOMNESS, instead of hating on them because you never see them doing a tow sport, why not make the initiative and try to get them into one? Offer some gas money for a pull one day and when they see the wakeskate start talking to them about it. let them try it out. if they like it you just helped a wakeskate company sell a board or two along with a tow rope.

If they dont then at least you got a pull behind a boat and you tried. maybe they liked you enough to offer you some more pulls in which case you still win.

Steven M, Yeah ive been trying to do this, a couple people stopped yesterday and watched me hit my rail and where pretty interseted and I told him about wakeskating and what not.
