New Cable in Fayetteville, NC

So I don't know how many of you ride in the NC area, but there is a cable at Smith Lake in Fayetteville, NC. It is open Fri-Sun from 12-7 through labor day. Here's the phone number for the place if you are interested. (910) 396-5979. This cable used to be open a few years ago, but it just reopened last weekend. They added a walking platform around the cable and have some kickers and rails. This is not the same as Hexagon Wake Park which is opening in Benson, NC near the end of June. Here are some pics.

too bad it is 4+ hours from my brother in asheville. i would love to go out there when i visit him but i dunno if he'd be down for the 4hr road trip lmao

Atl cable is gonna happen. Just not this year. It was pretty dumb of SMG to announce that it would be ready may 2012 when at that time the lake wasn't even dug out all the way. Then they had that name the park contest; surprise surprise, a singleton team rider won that contest. So far singleton marine group is making decisions that aren't helping public opinion. I was so stoked on this but now I'm just crossing my fingers that they quit making these bad decisions.

Is there just that one rail at this park in fayetville?

Yeah, there's just the one rail there. I haven't ridden yet. I was hoping to check it out today, but we'll see how the weather holds up. I think Hexagon in Benson will be a lot better, especially since they will have 2 cables going with better rails, but until that opens, it's nice to have an alternative so close.
