So we all know Jet Ski's are great pulling machines

What are some that you have ridden?

Besides a wake edition which one do you think the best one for pulling a rider is?

I would love to own a wake edition...the original.

Beyond that, frye's was awesome (quite a wake for a PWC) and I rode behind headhuntermx's PWC. How do I complain about any of them...but again, frye's had a nice little wake for re-entry moves and such.

Yeah I rode behind Frye's a few times. I thought it was sick but it was also the biggest ski on the market I believe

I have a polaris mxc 1200 (2004) and I rode all year behind the origional seadoo wake

I still think my polaris had a better in/out

I like the wake a lot, it pulls strong, without the 4stroke boat feeling (you know where you can't edge out and slow the ski , your just getting yanked along for the ride my parents have a seadoo rxt supercharged and it feels like your riding behind a 24ft wake boat) but I feel like the wake ed is just a bit overkill for the $. Unless you find a steal they arn't really much different than a good 3 seater. The main thing I have seen is hull shape. Not being able to drag the rear end around when cutting from flat across to go in out. I know everything is personal preference, but I feel like there are plenty of great options out there in the ski market that produce an equal or better pull for the $.
Of course my Polaris has drained a bit of my $ due to the fact that they don't make them anymore, so finding parts and mechanics are a bit annoying(but being in the FL region you would probably have better luck finding help).

I stand my ground from dirtbikes to skis / I like 2stroke over 4. bypass your injector and mix your own fuel. run better oil, and always stay on top of maintenance and that should help, my main issues with my polaris were in the cpu( but that was a rairity, bc everything i own brakes , and i put over 200hrs on her) 2 strokes are cheaper to rebuild and get parts for as well as maintain in the long run, and in a consistent weather situation they are easier to deal with (vs living where your water goes from 40 deg to 80 deg).

my exact ski

We have a 2008 215 wake edition with the ballast tanks on it....Sickest pull, Nasty wake, Gangsta Ski for sure

Problems- It has 275 hours on it (we bought it with 8hrs on it) it has to have a super charger rebuild every 100 hours and a service job every 50 hours. SeaDork makes you service it at one of their shop's and if you don't they will void your warranty and you can only run 93 octane gas in it.
Super charger rebuild - 2 @ $675 = $1350
Service - 5 @ $355 = $1775
Ski - About $15,000 new with double aluminum trailer

Plus - The thing can pull doubles with a filmer on the back and of course a drive and 200 lbs of water in the tanks with no problems what so ever.
We also have a 96 or 97 Seadoo that i think is a 750 that is great as a chase ski...lol...or if you are pulling one rider its not that bad. The in and out wake is about a C rating at best.

I think the ski just depends on how much money you want to sink into one to ride. After logging over 264 hours on ours in just a little over two year's, we have come to the conclusion that our dinggy is much more cost efficient .
Hope this help's out......

I have an 08 yamaha fx high output....it has around 800 hours on it and has had no real issues....i sucked a fish up through the intake one time and that caused an issue, but yamaha warranty repaired and covered the cost to fix the entire intake impeller area. but motor wise never had a problem....and i also think that my ski has a better pull than a wake edition, and i think the in and out is muuuuuch better. but thats my opinion on them. theres a few people on here who have ridden behind my ski just so you can get another opinion on it.

I have a yamaha 05 VX110. (the new ones are basically still the same) Mine is a beast. It puts out a hell of an in out lip. Especially with an extra on the back. Starts every time and has plenty of power for three full size men~ Smash
Pulls doubles with no problem. Fair price as well.

PROSKI.

although stuck in a wake edition cacoon, proski is a beautiful ambiguous butterfly that exceeds all others. She recently passed her 1000th hour and is still as vivacious as day 1. She is my beloved.
