every shot of this was innovative in some way. these tricks on a completely new obstacle were insane.

A lot of the shots in the video look like they are just hitting a big rail, looks like doing a transfer over the spine is actually pretty hard.

what a shocker the kid who owns the set up wins the comp....

First things first, I enjoyed the HECK outta that vid deff got me pumped, HOWEVER am I the only person who thinks its a tad unfair that whoever owns the setup rides in the comp and wins? Make them judge, kinda hard to beat someone on a setup that they've raged on 100000x more than everyone else.

I get what triggamike is saying but I don't think you can just cut them out of the contest because they are leaders in wakeskating.

It's just something that has to be done. And hey I think anyone could have won retention.

Who's stopping the rest of the pro's from practicing on a 4ft drop and a flat rail? Those are all over the world. Ben kickflipped off a flatrail in Toe Jam like 4 years ago first try, didn't even attempt one in practice and won the rail finals. Was that unfair too?

Nick shredded that spine set up and had never hit it before. It's a big cable slyder with transition on both sides. Reed is just really good at wakeskating, nothing unfair there.

Does it really surprise you that professional wakeskaters are riding at professional levels in contests?
