Ok so went out today with my buddy and on the last set I threw a front shuv and landed on only my front foot and my knee bent inwards. It hurt soooooo bad and I felt it pop. Now it's sore at the very top of the inside of my calf and on the inside of my knee below my quad. I hope nothing really bad happened to it. This ever happen to anyone, or anyone have any stories like this or any advice on this injury.

Ice. Stretch. Nothing strenuous. If it popped do not ride and do not push it. Better to take a few weeks off vs a few months.

Take it easy for a bit and if it still hurts/ feels weird in a week or 2 head in do the doc' for an evaluation.

I screwed my knee up in 07/08 and didn't grt surgery till august of last year. The time in between I had lots of problems and it would pop out on my all the time. Knee injurys suck

If you tear your acl, mcl, pcl or all of them, you are out for 6 months after surgery. I'd love to see your doctors note coricluster. Even a torn meniscus requires surgery.

I know man it was my left knee today, but I just had surgery on my right knee for a meniscus tear about a year ago. It's sore right now and kinda stiff, but I can walk around. I really hope it's not bad. Like really hope.

The exact thing happened to me last summer. Although I didn't feel the pop my left knee bent inward completely flat with the deck and I didn't ride for at least a month and still hurt when I got back into the water. If you have insurance I would just go straight to the doc and see whats up. Just rest up and take it easy. Good luck homie I hope it gets better soon and you still get a couple more sets in this year!

If you aren't going to a doctor I recommend you drink lots of water, plenty of ice on the knee, good balanced meals, lots of positive thinking and plenty of movement..within reason. Oh, and sleep deep.

Get an MRI before you get surgery or else youre selling your bones to the doctor.

i had a patella dislocation and recovered like an indian 100 percent on my own, knee injury is not rapid it is a slow steady gracedul process

bottom line:try not to skateboard, ride a bike, buy a knee brace and get over it, be a man

I know you hope that nothing bad happened but if it popped and it hurts that much it probably did.

Quality knee braces will cost more than that. Maybe you could find a used one that fits or could be made to fit? Do you have insurance? That should help cover some of the costs.

Whatever you do, don't keep re-injuring it like I did. I eventally had surgery but I think re-injuring my self multiple times before surgery while wakeboarding and skateboarding made it worse. I still have random pains and stiffness in that knee.

perhaps maybe not in berlin, but here here in america a torn knee requires surgery. my cousin is an orthopedic surgeon, my dad does alot of spinal surgery, another friend's dad is a radiologist, and i've had friends who have torn up their knees. so if acl, mcl, pcl doesn't require surgery please explain why byerly had it, murray, parks, and countless others. im not a doctor. but i've been around medicine my whole life and gotton hurt alot.

if you really did hurt it and you have insurance, your doctor should be able to give you script for a cti or don joy brace, but most prefer cti.

I have a neoprone knee brace sleeve with patella stabilizer for 50$

neoprone is cheap, metal ones are exspensive, but nowhere near 400$, granted you have insurance and are a legal immigrant

please take your own advice. i never mentioned the lateral collateral ligament. i said acl, mcl, pcl and meniscus. so please read before you type. and actually more often than not surgery is required. like i said, i'm not doctor and without an mri you won't know what is going on inside there; however, i have been around enough doctors my entire life to have a good grasp on the concepts.
Surgical repair of a torn LCL usually takes about one to two hours but can be longer if there are other injuries to the knee that also require treatment, such as an ACL tear. General anesthesia or a spinal or epidural anesthetic is used. An incision is made on the outside of your knee to gain access the torn ligament. The ligament is re-attached to the bone using screws, sutures or both. The skin is sewn back together using sutures or staples.

It is important to note that an LCL tear rarely occurs in isolation — it usually is in conjunction with other major knee injuries — and therefore rehabilitation depends on the extent of the other damage.

suck it!

I'd like to try to get a cti metal brace and have my insurance pay for some of it. How do I do this?

You have to go to an orthopedist. Unless you know one you probably have to get a referral first. Then after some imaging is done on your knee he will tell you what's up. If it's hurt you'll have to have surgery and/or physical therapy. Then you'll get a prescription for a brace and they will come custom fit it for you.
