Being from Minnesota, I have to worry about literally nothing on the water as far as things that want to eat me. I see alot of shows on animal planet and discovery about florida being overpopulated with gators, pythons, water moccasins(sp?) etc. any of you guys almost gotten bit, seen anything when you were wakeskating? |

Couple Gator sightings here and there. I have never heard of any fvcking with any riders though. Same with snakes pretty much. IT is scary to find those critters in your boat in the morning though.

gators usually avoid you as soon as they hear the engine. But I find snakes to be a little more curious. I had a close run in with a cotton mouth not too long ago. I was standing in neck deep water and felt something slide across my back then over my shoulder. I looked over and was staring at him in the face. I grabbed him by the back of the head and threw him as far as I could. I went to the bottom and stayed there till I heard the boat really close by. Good times. This WAS in saltwater _________________

Never had a problem with a reptile other than just seeing them but I did have a bass jump out of the water and hit me square in the nuts while riding. |

I remember killing 4 snakes over the span of one week last year at one of my winch spots. _________________ Aaron |

Matt Manzari got attacked like last year? or was it Reed Hansen? ?
Any way, besides that I dont think anyone has gotten attacked or hurt really.
I think every wakeskater has come across a gator or 2. I had bullsharks and Gators back in my river but none ever bothered anyone. Gators always just moved along or submerged when you went by. Bulls just dipped. Saw a few snakes here and there but always from afar. Just dont worry about it, nothing will happy with that noisy boat paving the way for you.
But if you are going to be scared of anything... watch out for these home wreckers... they will destroy your life.
