Quote: | The BooDog electric winch is ready for its public debut. Proud to join a legacy of tried and true pulling devices. Hopefully proving vital for those ninja winching missions. It pulls like a tractor and drives like a Prius!
Making the best sport ever created, even better.
Here is a quick raw edit of it in action from the driver's seat.

No downer, you have a battery pack. No outlet out side your house required. Ride all day , no gas, no noise, no worries.
As far as under the hood, an electric boogie of sorts.
We should have a new casing design in a few days, but we all know that the exterior box is aesthetic.
More questions. This is R&D right here.
Suggestions, criticism , thread hijacks, all post welcome! _________________ Your up, lets winch........

You saw the chord from the battery to the winch
It will pull a 4 hr set. Not a contest (back to back riders). Normal winching pace. Thats with the 4 small atv/lawnmower batteries we have going right now. But more batterys (size and quantity) will buy you more shred time. So depending on the final set up Id say a 5 hour life. Which is plenty for a day of winching. _________________ Your up, lets winch........

Battery setup pending, but the winch alone will be cheaper than a plastic gas one _________________ Your up, lets winch........

Props for coming up with innovative solutions.
What's the weight of the winch?

The winch weighs about 60-65 pounds. Battery pack isn't set in stone. Anywhere from 40 to 80. Possible less... everything is on wheels for ease of carting around. I suppose we could come up with some ski attachments for it too for snow winching.. The whole set up can fit in the back seat of the car or get thrown in the back of a pick up truck. It should be very transportable... _________________ Your up, lets winch........

i think electric winches are great but they've a long way to go, electric motors, regulators, and batteries are expensive and heavy, yes quiet is great _________________ ☆PHOENIX WINCH☆

the difference is in the pull, when you program your power band its spot on every time, and whats a few extra pounds on wheels, you need two people to winch _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

plus there are very few gas powered winches that weigh less than 150 pounds. thats about the same weight as the electric winch... _________________

Nice!
But is it realy necessary to have the spool releaser??, It use to be easy to spin E-motors. If you have a ESC with a regenerating funktion you dont need the hand break.... Anyway good work |

Halt, it's not that easy to spin out the motor. But with that in mind, we are going to offer regen braking on the final model. Although we find that a brake is really only necessary in tight spots or when using the winch to pull snowboards. For the most parts, the drag of the water on the handle seems to stop everything once let off the throttle.
Thanks for the props pulldozer! _________________
