Is this site infected? If you google wakeskate index, it says that this site is dangerous and will cause computer viruses.

I went to this site yesterday at work and got a nasty virus that took our IT guy an hour to fix.

Just wanting to see if anyone else is having trouble.

If you can give ed some more specifics, that would be good. I've relayed the message to him and he doesn't know where anything is coming from. But if you can tell him what kind of virus and whatever else, that might help him out. Thanks guys, and sorry for the trouble.

it loaded a windows scan program on my computer at work that really messed it up. i believe that the scan program cons you into a defragmentation that if you do it, uploads all kind of tricky stuff that is very hard to get off of a PC.

i never have any problems at home on my mac, but it would be nice if this would get fixed. i have been way too productive at work since not being able to check this site all day Laughing.

if you wouldn't mind e-mailing ed directly with the name of any programs, that would be really helpful. I think what you mentioned happened to me at my brother's house but I didn't click on anything. I don't know if he had to do any work on it after that or not. but ed's e-mail is his first name at wakeskating.com (you know what I mean).

the one on i got kept popping up windows in the shortcut bar saying "hardrive is not detected." then, the windows scan would open up and suggest defragmentation. when i tried to uninstall it, halfway through, it would again say that my hardrive is undectable and it would still be there fiznackling shizzle up.

next, warning windows would keep popping up, and eventally would suggest a restart. then, restarting itself. this happened twice before the screen went black with that damn windows scan program opened up in the middle of the screen.

i shut down the computer and did not turn it back until our tech guy remotely fixed it.

malware bytes

that software normally will remove all those problems.

If you can get the name of the program or anything like that please email me. the server guys have been working on stuff and we are trying to narrow down the problems.

you should be able to just use malwarebytes to remove it.. that is all i needed to remove it from a box here at ws.com..

i think me and my neighbor found the problem tonight. a hacker did place something in apache that caused him to be able to inject code into the system. our network company could not locate the problem but I think i got it. the system is not acting strange like it has been the past few days. cross your fingers. hopefully they cannot get back in the box and do any damage again.
