so its becoming winter, and some people ride all year round without worrying about keeping warm, and others like me deal with 50ish air and water temps. usually the limiting factor in how long i will wakeboard will be until my hands or feet get numb, but with wakeskating im beginning to think that having numb feet can be avoided. this is kinda random, but maybe someone has tried it and can give me some feedback so i can plan for the cold weather now.

has anyone worn something underneath their shoes while they skated? im talking like maybe rubber or neoprene or anything that would keep your feet warm(er) than just shoes. i think that just wearing shoes will keep a good deal of cold air/water off them, but what if there was a very thin neoprene sock of some kind that you could put on underneath your shoes and keep your feet relatively warm and dry? you could tuck it in to the drysuit so the only things exposed are your hands and face. i can deal with that. i cant quite deal with numb feet. im thinking that wouldnt work too well with skating...

then again perhaps im just a puss, and need to grow a pair...

I have some 1.5 neo socks, IDK what brand they got thrown in w/ my drysuit, but they work illin, I put little vinyls of the volcom logo on the side so they looked like socks, but they fell off pretty fast, the socks work awesome though.

wakemitch, the new kampus shoes I saw had a neo sock like liner, but it looked stiched in IDK Ill take a closer look next time I see em.

I'll ride to till Nov, when it becomes way to cool. From then on I'll be taking trips down to the OWC.

The sock thing is a great idea though. It's be nice if DVS or Reef ect... made a sleeve type sock that came with their shoes for this purpose.

a good way to keep warm is to wear a hat or sumthing on your head... it stops body head from escaping, you'd be suprised how much it works
