I have a 95' wave venture 700, dedicated wakeskate machine.
It wont start and it seems it's not sucking fuel through the line, im thinking the carb diaphragm or something.
anybody in the orlando area good with old ski's or know of a good shop that will still work on it? |

If its a carbureted jet ski which im positive it is being a 95 wave venture, Im pretty sure it it does not have a fuel pump. The carburetor has whats referrred to as an "accelerator pump" built into the carburetor and it sucks gas thru the main gas feed line using vacuum pulse from the crank which is referred to as your "pulse line"
There are 3 main lines going to and from your carbs - Main Gas Feed (from gas tank), Gas Return line (back to gas tank) and Pulse Line (goes from the carb to the bottom end of the engine) This line is the one that sends a vaccum pulse the to the diaphram inside the carb you are referring to that in turn sucks gas into the carbs from the main fuel line feed.
I would pull the sparks plugs off first and get some "carb & choke cleaner" spray it into the cylinders, put the plugs back in and then see if it fires up.
Starting it like this will force gas thru the lines to fill them back up if for some reason it was not flowing right.
Your fuel lines or carbs might be clogged, look on craigslist in the boat section for a jet ski mechanic in your area, people that advertise their will prolly work on it cheaper than if you were to take it a dealer.
Let us now what you figure out |
