It all comes down to what people want to pay for a board, and I think timing is a huge part of it. For consistency, I'd say a 4 trac or an 04 a.reed...I know both of those boards have gone for well over 300.00 years after the fact. Someone offered me 1000.00 for my unused, in the wrapper 4-trac (that I gave away Laughing ), but as for that person actually following through, I have no idea. As of yet, I haven't heard or seen a tolstoy or a TNT sell for an absurd amount. But I think jim holds the record for the most expensive wakeskate, which was that lunar limited integrity from erich.

Still, I like this topic, only because it's fun to watch for what some of these decks go for. I know that a couple of ridden 02 cassette boombox decks have gone for 200.00 and 175.00, 7-8 years after they came out and they originally sold for 100.00-139.00. There are other crazy ebay prices...a pair of used cassette unisons sold for around 350.00...I wish I would have printed off the pages for that auction.

just to give a serious answer, most rare and most valuable are two different things. It's the same thing with skateboard collectors. Just because it's a rare board doesn't make it desirable.

I had to pay AUS$600 for my 06 TNT. Mind you that is including shipping and at a time when the aussie dollar was worth like US$0.64. But still collecting skates is so much easier in the states hahaha Sad

The amount of money some people are willing to pay for a wakeskate blows my mind. When the 4 trac came out it was out of my price range, nowadays that same price would be cheap for a wood concave. I've always had a soft spot for cheap boards though, a solid k39 would be a dream come true for me.

Part of me thinks that the shoddy sealant on the K39's was actually a brilliant business plan. I still have one, but it's warped like crazy.

I just wish I would have bought a plethora of blank, New Mogley's back when they were $90. Talk about a good way to make money now, if only I had more than one. It seems like for a lot of people, all they want is a good, quality wood concave, which just isn't as easy to come by now a days.

I really wish I at least had just a few of them for my self anyway. When the one I have breaks, I don't know what I'll do. I will be screwed. Neutral

'03 4-trac: never touched water/unridden/freshie
'04 K39: unridden
'08 TNT: unridden (first deck I handbuilt start to finish)
'08 Furchucker: unridden
'08 Mogley: unridden

On my wall Twisted Evil

The '03 4-trac gets my vote for the most valuable wakeskate that went into production...
