it's amazing what hdmi cables can do. had to hook up my lcd 1080p to just the coax cable for the time being with dishnetwork, and the quality blows. can't wait for a new box. digital stuff is amazing, but old stuff is still amazing. i love my old pentax 35mm. it's about 20+years old and still rockin. i encourage everyone to use a vcr and a 35mm so that you don't just take pics like the world is ending.

uh yeah... VCRs suck... so do cassette tapes.

oh i agree the quality is awful, but im not going to take the time to convert my vhs to dvd and have the same quality. if you have a decent receiver you can hook up your game system, vcr, apple tv, cable box, or whatever you want. ( i do keep it unplugged as not to waste unneeded power.

Maybe I'd say that if I had a TIVO or something.

I just love VCRs because there are old videos that will never be on DVD (legally, anyway). I still go on ebay for old skate and snow vids, and there are some wakeskating videos I still watch on VHS (horrell in wide awake, the cassette promo, etc etc).
