Just finished my second winch build! going to test it out on sunday.
heres the specs,
6.5hp briggs
custom header and rlv race silencer
k&n air filter
tav2
releasing spool with bearings
go kart race chain and sprocket
twist grip throtle
and glow in the dark handle bar grips

the splash gaurd is a mini chopper fat boy rear fender.

i will try to get a video of it in action this weekend. The winch sounds like a harley with the pipe and silencer.

how much was that silencer? And howd you make the spool?

the silencer was like 32$ and the spool is made from 2 steel disc i had cut.
I used dom wall pipe for the inner spool and threaded rod.
There are two bearings the spool rides on in the middle.

is the silencer worth the 30 bucks? And where did you get the discs cut?

yes the silencer and the header make a diffrence in sound and power.
our local metal supplier cut the disc for me, and supplied all the metal.
The rest of the parts on the winch were ordered from bmi karts.

yeah I have a winch and everything I just need a new spool and I really want a releasing one but it's hard to get the discs cut for under 100 bucks
