Their website still works. Of course, they might keep it live until they sell out and just not produce stuff anymore. |

I dont think they are out of business but i think they are just having some troubles. I ordered a comet tav from mfgsupply and they sent me a big email about comet and the troubles they are having. What i got from the email is that their still in business but they are just producing really slow and having troubles. |

Yeah they are still around, but it seems nearly impossible to get a TAV from them. They have been telling me they are shipping TAV's in 3 weeks for the last 6 months. So we will see what happens. _________________ Pulldozer Winch Systems

Wow, That is not a good thing. The TAV is a key part to any good winch. I dont even know of any other companies that make them. _________________ Pulldozer Winch Systems

Maybe they'll sell the patent and someone else can start producing TAV's |

Such a shame, the TAV2 is such a good product. I guess the rest of the ranges were not selling!
Am sure there sales of TAV's rose due to becoming the preferred choice for the winch maker. |

well, i think i posted it in another thread somewhere, but i'd really like to figure out how to but the cvt's they use on UTV's. They seem like they are enclosed (no more saltwater and sand in the TAV) and just from the shear weight of the UTV they have to be able to transfer some pretty significant torque... _________________

How do you think this is going to affect winch building companies like pulldozer and reel winches? This can't be good for startup companies trying to build a specialized product for a growing community of skaters and winchers. So sad to see, just as winching and winch building companies were starting to become so popular. _________________ www.backyardrailpark.com |

Some one has got to pick up where Comet left off. Not only are these things on winches, but gokarts, bar stools, mini bikes, and track coolers. Lots of people use them and people know in order to get some serious torque out of a 6hp motor you want one. _________________ - Mead-Hall |

Yeah it is going to effect all winch companies who use the TAV, because you cant find them anywhere. I cant even find a used one for my own personal winch. Not good. _________________ Pulldozer Winch Systems
