hmm. yeah 3kW might be a bit small... but the 15hp on the cart should do it i guess.

I have seen one project with 6/12hp 12V winch.

from a regular car winch. The guy says that 6hp was too little, so he took two motors. But I tought a 5.5 gas motor was ok, so why not a 6hp electric?

I am looking for a 5kW (6.5hp) engine (golf car or something). Anybody got som more info on successfull electric winch projects? (low voltage)
