So this past Friday, myself and a few friends drove up to Yosemite and hiked Half Dome. The idea of the trip was a bit unique in that the goal was to be at the top of Half Dome in time to see the sun rise. That meant we had to be parked and on the trail by midnight because the hike isn't exactly an easy one- 18 miles round trip, 4800ft of vertical. We left the San Jose area around 5pm, got to Yosemite at 10pm, began hiking at midnight, made it to the top in time for sunrise, got back to the cars by 1pm and home by 6pm. A long day for sure, and exchanging sleep with a full day's hike wasn't a ton of fun on the way home

and my aunt would love some of those pictures, she <3's yosemite and has hiked half dome and some other shizzle there many times.

3rd pic down is my favorite. All of them are really good though. What lens were you shooting with? It looks pretty wide.
