I think 40hp is about the lowest you could go. I went behind a 30 or 35 last winter and it was very difficult to get up, and it would not get up to speed. I think 50hp would be good

errr.. my 13 foot whaler has a 60, and it has trouble getting people up (juniors name wieght) up some times, and it gets tired quickly and over heats, id say go with at least 90 maube 70 at lowest. just my 2 cents.

My boat has a 70 hp motor. And the pontoon isn't daniel's, it's derek's. I dont' know what the HP is, but they have to "floor it" for the perfect speed. So seven11dmd, your boat might actually work.

a whaler is way heavier than a pontoon so dont listen to that but a fifty -sixty horse would work fine, but u should saave for a different boat and make that toon into the biggest set-up of rails ever!

headhuntermx4 i've always wanted to do that with a pontoon boat like it make it one huge floating dock and then rails on the sides to go on and then maybe a kicker at the end of the boat.

i go behind a 22 with a 50 sometimes only goes 18 so you might want to put a 50 on that and it should run in the 20s

freerider4, the dry storage place in winter haven has two logs that im trying to get them to sell me and the dock master wants to but the owner wants to build a dock on it but im looking for one to put a kicker on one side and a flat up rail and a box on the other and u could film from it so easily!

how would u slide the pontoon...it has seats and stuff...

i once road straigt at my pontoon and then jumped off my board and in the door on the side, i almost ran out the other side trying to slow from 20 mph though, haha, and my board justslammed into the pontoon
