If you dislike Obama, I urge you to click the link and see what he completed on day 1 as President. I think it's pretty substantial and monumental myself but wanted to hear your opinions because I'm obviously biased.

The pay-freeze is interesting, but not nearly as interesting as the lobbyist changes and requirements to make many Government records public! It's pretty well known that lobbyists run Washington, but now what?
>>>The rules also ban lobbyists from giving gifts of any size to any member of his administration. It wasn't immediately clear whether the ban would include the traditional "previous relationships" clause, allowing gifts from friends or associates with which an employee comes in with strong ties.
Obama called the rules tighter "than under any other administration in history." They followed pledges during his campaign to be strict about the influence of lobbyists in his White House.
"The new rules on lobbying alone, no matter how tough, are not enough to fix a broken system in Washington," he said. "That's why I'm also setting rules that govern not just lobbyists but all those who have been selected to serve in my administration."<<< _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

Control the meaning of words, and you control the people who use those words.
Think about that every time you read the word "terrorist" in that article. You are only ever getting one side of any story when you watch/read the news. _________________ √ |

This is why I hate politics. When people discuss it, they only give their side of the story. It's all biased. Which is why it's so hard to believe what?
I don't hate Obama, I'm giving him a chance, and I'd of given McCain a chance. I just think it is all so difficult to discuss, and annoying. haha |

The president also said that he had been receiving grave news about the state of the economy during his new in-depth daily economic briefing, which he instituted after taking office on Tuesday.
"Frankly, the news has not been good -- each day brings I think a greater focus on the problems that we are having not only in terms of job loss but also in terms of some of the instabilities in the financial system," he said.
Obama also warned that the second half of a 700-billion-dollar finance industry bailout being debated in Congress must contain more accountability than that seen in the first half of the plan used by the Bush administration.
He complained that some Wall Street executives from companies that had received public bailout money had recently upgraded offices and private bathrooms, according to press reports.
Obama said Congress must "put in place the kinds of reform elements, oversight, transparency, accountability, that's going to be required in order for the American people to have confidence in what we're doing." _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

AND he's bombing Pakistan....
AND he's funding abortions in Africa....
But hey what do I know, people still think he's their savior...... _________________ El Tiburón Rojo |

the worst thing he could do is let all the terrorists in gbay go. that is stupid.
if one thing can be remember, after 9/11(which was not bush's administrations fault) he kept our country safe from terrorist attacks. i don't believe obama is going to be able to do the same if he chooses to do what he says he will.
i'm glad they lifted the ban on stem cell research though. |

First of all Al Queada is a CIA govt funded agency, terrorism IS NOT REAL for the most part.
It was created to take away our individual rights and liberties, go read the patriot act if you dont believe me.
ABORTION IS MURDER no matter where it is, why not teach people contraception instead?
ALL FASCISTS COUNTRIES THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE AN OFFSHORE PRISON WHERE TORTURE TAKES PLACE, GITMO IS OURS, NOW ITS MOVING TO THE U.S. _________________ El Tiburón Rojo |

RedShred14, You seem to have a very close minded view about the situation. I'm gonna go ahead and say you have watched one too many of those conspiracy theory movies.
George Bush was an awful president okay, deny that and we really know how serious to take your posts.
And what is wrong w/ giving a woman a choice on whether or not she wants to keep a baby? It is her baby, isn't it? Her body...
I also think the guy should have a say, but not if he raped her. Still though, nothing wrong w/ giving them a choice. This goes back to the whole "America" thing. |
