Skate 2

Skate 2 demo is out for xbox 360 (im sure its out for ps3 too, but im not 100%) anyways, IMO the game is sick and the demo would be that much better if it wasnt timed...ughhhhh. So SICK!

Already preordered. First one was sick and the changes they made will only make it better. Not being able to walk was the worst part of the first. Being able to move obstacles around sounds awesome too. Downloading the demo now.

Played the demo last night. The trick controls are getting more elaborate to allow for the new sets of tricks. Also, with all the mention of more security and those bumps installed on ledges and rails, I wonder how much this will really affect freeskating. Hopefully the game will still be focused on skaing and not just outrunning security guards everywhere you go.

edrex, making it more like realistic skating life rather than skater's paradise? either way i guess they can't go too wrong.

my roomate has a 360, but he doesn't have those style of games so i may pick this one up for me Twisted Evil

edrex, i'm betting that as the story progresses it becomes like a skate paradise again and all the skate stoppers will be taken off. or something like that.

i love the demo, and yes the controls are getting complex as hell, half the time i can't remember the new stuff.

the timer on this demo sucks, you only get at the most like 8 minutes of skate time, i wish they did it like the skate demo and let you skate for 30 minutes. Crying or Very sad

edrex, i dont think they can sell it til the 23rd. the date for skate 2 is confusing. we had it listed as the 21st and all the ads say the 21st but then the demo says 23rd. our store didnt get it yet, but someone was trying to tell me that bestbuy had it. i dont know how that would happen.

I called the store to ask when I could pick it up and they said this afternoon. Is it maybe different for preorders? Like, they are not actually selling me a copy today since its already paid for so they can just hand me a copy without any record of "selling" it before the 23rd?

edrex, oh ok. it might be different because you paid for it in full, so they will do the transaction in the computer the next day. i bet they could get in trouble if the manufacturer found out. there is usually a fine for companies to sell before the release date. i know a past employee at the store i work at got the company charged $10,000 for selling a game before the release date

Its weird though, because I got a recorder message calling me last night saying that I could pick it up today. So its not like they are trying to be sly about it or anything. Oh well, not my problem as long as I get my game today. Cool

my friend went to pick his up this morning at 10 when the game stop in our mall opens and they were like sorry our shippment hasnt come in, try bak at 12. thats weird to me i figured the game should have come in yesterday for sale today.
