we need to stand up and do something
america needs to revolt and take charge, every large act of violence has been planned and paid for by the government and bankers, we need to rise above then inslavement our government has put forth and say what needs to be said.
ever wonder why we have so many distractions and gadgets now? why has the media portayed a huge terrorist ploy and all of bush's responces were of little inteligence or relivance? Ever wonder why he and many others never explained what happened on 911?
guys wake up, we are loosing our rights and now they want to put chips in us so they can track our every move? what happened to the Bill of Rights? What happened to the Constitution? |

| YaBro, the general public is too stupid to realise those things and continue living their lives a slave to their own dim and bleak life. |

YaBro, don't buy into the bullsh!t. Movies like Zeitgeist are just trying to brainwash you into thinking that "the Man" is out to get you when really he just wants you to be happy. He's gotten a bad rep lately, but he still cares about each and every one of you and just wants to keep you safe from the rest of the world. To do that, he only asks that he can know what you are thinking, when you are thinking it, who you talk to and what you say, and where you are at any given time of the day.
Is that really too much to ask? I submit that it is not.
Seriously though, that was a really well done movie without being over-the-top "conspiricy theory"-ish (although it did have its moments). To me, parts 1 and 2 were the most interesting, with part 3 seeming to be based less on solid facts and more on theory - but interesting none the less. _________________

You guys DO know what conspiracy theory means, right? It's pretty self explanatory, just define each word separately and you'll get it.

I don't think anyone on this forum is old enough to recall participating in riots in the 60s/70s.. I know I wasn't born yet.. but chances are your parents recall it. It might be pretty cool to ask them about it sometime... how "bad" did it get before people took it to the streets? Were your parents involved? Is right now as "bad" or worse than it was back then?

taku, This generation hasn't enough willpower to take the streets as they did back then. Too many hipsters, emo's, and nerds.
Is that a good thing that a riot of that caliber will probably never happen again? or a bad thing because this generation won't stand up for themselves? |

Is it that this generation doesn't have enough willpower, or that it just hasn't become bad enough to force us to the streets? I think a lot of people riot and go otherwise nuts, when they have lost a lot, or in their eyes, everything important to them. Is losing your job enough to make you fight the government in the streets? Disagreeing with the government on a series of decisions? I mean this economy is terrible, but there are still a lot of people with jobs, with homes, with food to eat and then some. I guess this just hasn't affected enough people intensely enough yet, to cause that sort of outcry.
There are lots of people that would like to "stand up to the man" but those aren't the masses right now... and until more Americans are directly impacted in a major way, I don't think this generation will get out to the streets like the ones before us. There's still too much to lose for most individuals. Once they have less to lose, they'll be more apt to risk "it all" and fight back. _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |
