GAAAHHH!

Just kidding, that's halloween candy. For real, I have this creative project due and to cut a long story short, i was inspired to create an "analog" style c-logo out of thin plys of wood and layer them up like a skateboard or wakeskate. Ultimately I used balsa and the large section is three plys thick, while the inner section is two plys thick. I'm psyched because I made all of the cuts myself (I really did learn how to use a jig saw!) and sanded it down. Now I'm working on collaging it up with bits and pieces from my 06 graphic. I've included an early stage shot, but I actually have one side of it done. I will post a final shot when I have both sides collaged and sealed up (labellethrasher, this means coat one will be applied to big green tonight Cool ). HOLLA!

I learned how to program and run a CNC this week, but didn't make anything nearly as cool as that. Nice work!

I should add that as much as I hated to take apart that graphic, it would end up in the lake the next time I rode it. So at least this way, I'll always have that graphic in some form.

Here's a picture of the wakeskate, and then the front and back of the logo since it's finished and collaged on both sides. It doesn't have the clearcoat on it though.

ollieshuvitz, I'm pathetic. Laughing

I guess for anyone that cares, I forgot to add that I used a smaller blade with the jig saw so it was super maneuverable. I was really impressed because in my mind I was stressing out about how i'd even cut the shape out.

But otherwise, thanks for the prawps! Cool
