|
|
Hi Guys, I want to buy a new board, one more specific for boat riding, I was thinking about the Nomad 44 from Hyperlite (44 because I'm almost 220 lb)
What you think about this deck? Any other suggestion?
Regards!

a 44 is fine, esp for behind the boat, i have the catalyst 110 from hyperlite and havent had any probs with it behind the boat, or even cable for that matter, its all about what your comfortable with and learning how to handle boards of different sizes _________________ dont worry about today because no matter what the tide is still gonna change in the mornin |

JC , you have some link of a web site where I can check this board?
Randomhero14 and Jachandl:
My problem is that I have almost 220 lb and 6 ft, so I feel a 42 for boat riding kind weird, the board use to sink, at cable is great!! I have a Omen 40.5, I use this board a lot for cable and obstacles riding, this board is pretty strong to hit obstacles and great for shuvs, spin fast.
Now I am riding a new model of Projects, (brazilian wakeskate) developed, it is a flat wood board 42, awesome board, check the link http://projectwakeskates.com/pranchas/ . Great for wake 2 wake and flat tricks also, but I what a biggest board where my stance don't feel too close, the 42 I still feel my feet stance to close and I rode an old liquid force 44 of a friend and a felt it really comfortable.
Thanks Dudes! Great ride for all this weekend!! Here in Brazil is hot as hell, soon I go to the lake!! |

I thinking they are about to launch the new goodwood website in the next week or something coz the old one has been taken down. I think they are on facebook though with pics of the boards |

i hate every grubb board. good to have around for people who want to skate but cant wear your shoes. if you're going to go corporate and glass style get a byerly. _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. i don't hate everything, but ya i am really opinionated. i have not seen or rode a new byerly board, but they can't be that horrible. and ya, i hate the corporate thing. there are very few avenues in life that you can choose not to support a corporation and wakeskating is one of them. i'd like to support the united states' manufacturing industry than someone who outsources it to dubai like liquid force. yay, all one big umbrella of crap.

as for the wakeboarding thing, i have not been wakeboarding for years, but recently picked it back up because i suck so bad at skating. i really went backwards with learning new tricks so im giving it a break. don't worry about what i do because, as dana carvey said, "you do what you do, and i do what i do."
ps. there is no savings when you buy a board from hyperlite, liquid force, etc. they put the money they save from cheap manufacturing in their pocket; not pass it on to you the consumer. _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. All the companies above are under the same umbrella.
They are in business to make profit and part of that profit is used in marketing like contests sponsorship and to pay riders, as well as R&D. _________________ Obscura Wakeskates! |

i thought byerly and hyperlite products were made in USA, Washington. I could be wrong but pretty sure that's where they used to be made. _________________ umm... what can I say, I wish I was around when the Bi-levels were hitn the shelves.
