This video is just being released on DVD but they are offering it free on the internet to watch which is super cool. The cinematography is incredible and it really shows the life of a traveling pro surfer, and the evolution of the sport. I will definitely be purchasing this video even though I have watched it five times already. So without further ado:

Hope you guys liked it as much as I did, I know there are some surf fans on here |

| nick, i dont know man, john john is way more impressive to me. Kalohe is an air phenom but john john surfs the barrel better than most guys on the north shore, and has some POWER in his turns. We'll see in 6 years or so when they are going at eachother on the CT |

Screw the CT, I'll watch Andy Irons dance at Uluwatu over a HB contest any day of the week...
A few friends of mine on the north shore say that John John has let a lot of it go to his head (granted he has been worshipped since the age of 4), but sometimes you can see it when he surfs. He definitely knows how to work the pit, but there's something about watching Brother surf that makes me lose it... I could watch him for days.
I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE TO CALI _________________ √ |

nick, Ulu's was CT(Search event, can't be there for another 5 years) and HB is QS so we'll be seeing John John and Brother doin the HB hop from them before pullin into perfection( other than wildcards they'll get). Besides that, agree with your assesment of John John. While he till kills it, seems like he has rested on his laurels/ego a bit and ain't throwin down like you would expect. Groms he used to put to shame are now doing it to him. Guess that's part of being a trailblazer though I guess. Kolohe though, has stepped up like no other and is really impressive. Should be no surprise though I guess seeing who his dad is. It's in his blood. I'll never forget a session I watched at San Clemente pier when I lived there the '98 El Nino winter. The rare south side rip bowl( tight take off and non-locals really not that welcome) was doing its thing and all the SC heavies were out. Everyone was ripping but when Dino would get a wave it was nother level ripping. 10 years later and I can still see his waves in my head, it was that impactful and unreal. Because of that, it is of no surprise that Brother is shredding like he is. He was given the perfect recipe and lucky for all of us he is cooking it all right. |

Sounds so sick
When I said screw the CT, I really meant screw competitions, especially with something as personal as surfing. I still like going to them though Did anyone go to the Inlet pro last January?
I know it's because wakeskating is so young, but I'm looking forward to a day of real wakeskate groms... _________________ √ |

I'm paying rent dude! Get a little small place for myself for a little bit... just a good change of scenery. No car, just a bike, maybe get a scooter if I find the need for a little more travel ability. 2 minutes from the beach, I think an hour from the mtn, and just down the road from Carlsbad Lagoon... _________________ √ |
