IMO the lower end Sony's are pretty decent. No, they will not contend with the high end stuff, but you can get a decent set for $20-$30

Le Jalapeno, how much you looking to spend? I use Sony MDR-V700DJ's when I work shows(dj for lack of a better word) and they are by far the best that I have had. A bit pricey, $130, but well worth it. Sony makes some other good sets that may be more in you price range so check them all out.
