never summer has the ReCurve series...
magne traction basically increases the number of contact points between the snow and the board; hence giving you more traction. It is like using a serrated knife vs. a butter knife. |

Ya ive seen some of those boards. They look crazy with their curvy edge. I guess it's one of those things where you will never know until you ride one.. _________________ Aaron |

stompin9s what do you like about MTX?
Gnarly Dancer 42 what do you like about the Stepchild that the banana didn't have?
I'm really looking for some input from you guys. I'm getting ready to buy a new deck. I have my eye on the GNU Billy Goat BTX but know the midwest StepChild rep and can get a sweetdaddy deal on those puppyies. If I go SC, I'm getting the Simon I think.
Help me decide bros! _________________ thrashdad.com |

labellethrasher, the jibstick doesn't feel as weird to turn. when i rode the banana i felt more out of control. The jibstick doesn't have as much reverse camber but the few runs i took on it made me realize that reverse camber isnt my thing.
if you want a cheap but good board i think the latchkey is great and i think the Simon would be better for jumps and stuff because its stiffer. _________________ vesselwake.com |

| labellethrasher, i just got the Stepchild Hammerhead and it's the poppiest ever. i had a 156 magne-traction like three years ago. i rode it three times and sold it. seemed like in slushy snow i would catch heel edge on minor corrections and whatnot. like it put a chunk of the edge right into the snow making it catch on small edge corrections. |

PoopSkater interesting... I can get them at about half price so cost isn't an issue.
Mario C. Thanks man, I was just holding a new HammerHead last night, it looks sick. Once there is enough snow, I'll be taking one for a day to try out. I'm just going to have to wait and be patient for more snow to fall...I want to buy one now but it'd be stupid to buy before I try. I will try out that HH first though... _________________ thrashdad.com |

ya...the mag
::biased opinion coming from die hard lib fan::
MTX does everything better. i have way more control riding an mtx board (whether it has rocker or not). last year i rode the skate banana 156 and i want to pick up a 59 this year. MTX feels super grippy when you want it to but when you come off your edge u dont even know its there...7 contact points on each edge as opposed to 2.
MTX <^^^^^^^>
REGS <^---------^>
personally, i can feel each of the 7 contact points on both my toe and heel edge. the MAG helps me ride with more control and steeze (especially when im riding or landing switch) _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." |
