Bustamove, thats what happened on when charley came through that year i think 05 or something. we missed like the first 3 weeks of school. it was the most epic summer ever

we lost power at our house for 2 weeks so we went to the beach and surfed swell from charley with no one and stayed the best western with no one for like a week

TWG, we need the money lol. hurricanes help the economy true story. after charley and all the hurricanes everything was so much better. you be suprised how much it helps the economy. people pay to get roofs fixed or debri removed contruction workers spend more money on tools food everything else cause their making money it a domino effect

RUSSIAN, whats wrong with celebrating nature, nothing we can do about it, if it hits it hits, might as well make the best of it. I didnt have power for over a month, had to start school when my house didnt evne have power for 2 weeks still.... u think i just sat around and mopped? no... i floor boarded and skateboarded alot cuz i couldnt put my lift down to get my boat in the water cuz of lack of power. Hurricanes are the shizzle, i love them even if they destroy things, they are part of nature and should be respected. So u can stay in Cali where hurricanes dont hit.

kinda bummed i just let my buddy take my winch to tallahassee, just imagining all the street winching I could be doing, jibbing off power poles and riding through peoples yards. Got a motor for my boat for it though, pretty fair trade i guess.

No worries, instead of using a winch to do those things, you can just use your car... still pull through the streets, in peoples yards etc

DirtyCracker, Hurricane Charley was in 2004.

And my house has a built in generator powerful enough to power the entire house in case of power failure so I have nothing to worry about.

DirtyCracker, funny thing was during charley/francis/jeanne we had like 10-20 people staying at our house. We were stock full of food and twizzlers. It was great.
