I would be cool to make a winch that the person riding could operate it.
you wouldnt need a person at the winch

sounds like a good idea the remote would have to be wireless. they make a jetski u can pull yourself and its got a kill switch on the handle but the handles is really thick cause of the wires and what not

PoopSkater, It could work. Especially if the winch were electric, or electric start. There was a rider operated towing device a while back that was like a jet ski, but there were videogame-like controls on the handle, and when the rider fell, a flag would go up and it would go in circles. Pretty awesome if you ask me. I'm not sure if they still make them..

Not sure where i saw it but theres a boat that can be remote controlled by the rider...argh cant find it. you control it from the handle Confused

The thing that is fun about winching is doing it with your buddys though.

it would be much easier to do with a winch than a boat because all u would need is a start stop button....maybe a pressure sensitive handle that stopped when you let go( but idk how to make any of that shizzle) and about the dangers of winching alone, when has that ever mattered....and how is cable any different?

Honestly. i would never want to winch.. nor wakeskate by myself... half the fun of wakeskating is being with a bunch of your friends shredding and sharing the stoke. Winching would not be as fun without a bunch of friends rooting you on to land that big trick down that gap. I donno, thats just my 2 cents. i would never wanna go winch by myself.

if i could get one of the system 2.0 cables in my backyard i would ride it all day everyday if people wanted to come over cool if not i would still ride all day by myself
