Flipping through my old magazine stack and I stumbled across this artifact...

Anybody else remember this as vividly as I do? Wakeskating has come a long way.

The article is so funny, it's all "wakeskating is the future" and "Brian Grubb is cool." I think he is riding that 09' catalyst pre-release in the article... BURN. It's sick though because these pics made me want to go out and buy a wakeskate back when I did alot of strappin.

I don't understand why there is all the hate on anything associated with hyperlite(including byerly). Look at their crew of riders they have, Byerly, Grubb and GD. They all kill it.

wakeboarderdave, your name says it all. i've had 2 hyperlite skates and will never buy one again. just my opinion. i do however love my danny harf dna, it gets ridden all the time (by my friends).

wakeboarderdave, I have no hate for hyperlite. I just don't like the regular catalyst. Plus alot of my friends have met Brian Grubb and have said that he's pretty arrogant. I actually ride the old 05' Byerly, probably would rock an Integ if I could afford it but don't have the greens right now.

Kid512, I'm just pokin a little fun, Grubb's way better than me. But he wouldn't even talk to my very good friends at the Volume 7 premier, and these are people that are like my family, it's a matter of opinion. I just didn't find it "cool" for him to blow of some kids who look up to him b/c he is too important to talk to groms.
