See this htp://www.google.com/patents?id=2A0XAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4
Please, does any one knows what is the Earth & Ocean Sports, Inc. ??
I heard that they are the owner of Liquid Force and O'Brien...
And is this "Soft Wakeboard" the same thing as the FWT (Fresh Water) ?
Ah, and who are Charles Mehrmann, James Redmon, Eric S. George ?? |

Earth & Ocean Sports is the company that owned Liquid Force, but they went out of business in 2003. Motion Watersports currently owns LF, O'Brien and Free Motion.

Jimmy Redmond is a board shaper for LF.
Charles Mehrmann is the VP of manufacturing at Motion Watersports as of 2005. Reference here. Not sure what he had to do with the wakeboard back then, though. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

The board that's patented is the sponge, which was a joke as far as wakeskating is concerned. The patent is more applicable to bodyboard technology (or is bodyboard technology) than wakeskate technology.
It is nothing like the fresh water wakeskate--absolutely nothing like it. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
