The Kid, in photoshop, you can make 2 layers, one b + w and one color, erase the color one, except for what you want colored.

and I have those board shorts... the pink/ black/ baby blue ones

thx for the comments...what i do is zoom in on the object i want to keep colored then in photoshop take your mag. lasso and circle the object, feather, then select inverse selection and adjust hue, satur, and brightness, contrast ,etc
