do you guys ride at the same length for w2w as you do for other stuff? i'm just wondering because at 70 ft (normal riding length for me) it seems like the wake is a little wide. maybe i just need to edge harder. also riding finless. _________________ i am the bear jew |

I had a 70ft rope but I shortened it ALOT for my ski and still can do w2w tricks. It's only like 30ft or so give or take _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/nizzate/ |

amosb72, go in 5 foot increments. but get comfortable with going wake to wake and then slowly let the line out... I ride at 65 when i am just having fun with w2w. when i am working on new stuff i usually ride at 60 so i dont have to edge as hard. _________________ -andrew- |

amosb72, we were riding at 60 today? didn't know that. it seemed that whenever i did my first set the wake was narrower eh? maybe if we mess with the trim a little bit. when i trimmed up, it obviously made the wake bigger but at the same time it seemed to make it wider, because when you were riding it seemed really wide. it also might have been that i couldn't edge was well because i'd never ridden your board before. that vinyl was a boat. at least we got a fun wake for summer though. _________________ i am the bear jew |

skimboarder, hah yeah it's a pretty floaty board. i'd never ridden one before and today was my first time ever actually trying w2w stuff so it was a bit different. _________________ i am the bear jew |

but the height of the wake to pop you gets smaller the faster you go. |
