Oak's 08 line will be shipped to shops in about 3 weeks. There should be some updates on the site in a few days.
All the boards for 08' are cross ply layup. This type of cross ply layup along with the super wood epoxy seal on the outside of the skates,makes these boards twice as strong,twice as waterproofed, and pop so nice!Cross plying just seems like the most obvious natural way to strengthen and liven up a wooden deck.
Also,Travis Doran and Matt Hooker have just recently signed new contracts as part of the Oak pro team and we have 2 new am riders,Tyler Mangus and TJ Giesey.
Both of the fins and udders are constructed with a super hard urethane,similar to the type bowling balls and harder skate wheels are made of.The fins and udders are both reinforced with steel inserted threads that have been cast into the mold.
