I'm Gettin me a Doggie

I did a TON of research on breeds/local animal shelters to find the best of both for me. I ended up with this guy, I pick him up Saturday. Stoked.

He's an 8mo. old Lab/Mastiff/something else mix (some type boxer or pit or something). He basically looks like a lab but he's short, almost hilariously so. His name is Keegan and I'm debating if I want to change it since it seems fitting for some reason. I guess I'll see after a few days with him.
He's super chill/quiet but playful and awesome with new people/other animals. Plus he's already houstrained which is rad.

Sick dog, I have a similar mix, mastiff or boxer or pitt or lab something and he is rad. Just make sure you really discipline it well.

Bah! Lame! So apparently me reading my lease/calling the leasing office/having the animal shelter call the leasing office wasn't enough to get the right information on restricted breeds (sidenote: the shelter called the office and said the exact breed and they okayed it literally an hour and a half before I stpped in). He's listed as a Lab/Mastiff and nobody along my entire multiple week journey to find this guy let me know that mastiffs were restricted from my complex. I'm still working on it since there was no rule about it untl I went to pay my property manager today but it's frustrating.

Frye, I can't wait to start training/spending time with him. I'm really active in the mornings/evenings when I'm out of work so hopefully he'll be a happy little guy with all that exercise, training, and attention (assuming I get to keep him).

GnarShredd, it probably has to do with the size of mastiffs but if u can prove to them it wont get as big because of the mix breed u may be ok.

mufinman98, Good thought but unfortunately that's not the case. They claim to have mastiffs selected as an 'aggressive' breed alongside pit bulls, rottweilers, akitas, doermans, and chows but for some reason that's not in writing anywhere... I can't wait till I can afford my own house some day and not have to deal with this crap, haha.

I went and spoke with the property manager, I MIGHT have something worked out. I'm not gonna get my hopes too high, but its looking good.
