| Cheers to this forum, im so sick of reading certain wakeboard forums with a bunch of little pissy babies bitching about anything and everthing. i think i enjoy wakeskating more anyway... on another note. i was wondering if anyone has ripped off their foam and gripped their skate? does it work, or does it leave behind too much foam goober? |

no i re grip my boards all the time.... just use a hair dryer to heat the glue and peel it off... it comes off like nothing...
if you feel like there is too much goo just get a razor blade and scrape it off _________________ PAVT since '05/'06 |

brassmonkey, This forum is pretty much the reason I switched too SOOO glad I did
Use the hair dryer like Jeff said, make sure you heat it up a lot before you try to peel it. Once the foam is off, you can wipe a lot of the adhesive residue off with a rag.
enjoy it!

Forget about the glue left behind and just grip over it.
I re-gripped my 03 byerly (foam top) after leaving the adhesive on the deck. I have ridden the deck about 100 times since then and the grip is still golden.
Don't waste your time or money getting that glue off.
Re-grip with skate grip of choice and prepare for loss of flesh. _________________ Your mom is my favorite knee boarder. |

I just regriped mine for my first time and I am so glad I did. It leaves a little foam and glue I just used a putty knife and scraped it after. just take your time riping it off i had to heat up a part pull it away from the board heat up the next section and pull it away and so on and so on. I have also pretty much switched to wake skateing as much as I can It is nice that you can come on here and say you just learned to ollie and people give you props when you go on fourm about wakeboarding and you say you landed a 180 and they will make fun of you because that all you can do.
my wakeboard is now for when I want to take my buddys out because they are scared to get on a skate. I still can't figure it out but I will get them on it |
