Anyone ride w/ socks or neoprene?

my legs are getting torn UP learning kickflips and stuff. Any suggestions what to buy for summer riding and leg protection?

Does anyone else think socks are pointless and goofy looking? Or am I just being a hater?

socks are just gonna absorb water and add more water to your feet. Plus i believe cotton ones will actually cause blisters over time. Neoprene will absorb a little bit of water but in the summer your feet will be pretty damn hot. Your only choice is the thin dressy type of socks which will just eventually tear. Theres wakeskate shoes with neoprene liners built in to protect your little feeters.

yes socks sux but when u get golf ball sized knots on your shins from board dings.You need some of those bike shin guards that are neoprene.

i put my omen into my shin and am still healing. (from a couple weeks ago)
i did use my old bmx shin gaurds and felt much better about getting back out there. i just didnt want to put my board back into a open wound.. (it may be week, but..)

dude.... please do not get socks, I'm not going to rip into you but seriously think about what your saying ?

Shins will heal, cuts will scab all will be good, just imagine how good a k-flip is going to feel when you finally stick it and your legs are just beat to hell ...
