no. i read when you to trying a trick and you move with the board as you attempting a trick the board will slow slow or something  |

Guy, I am guessing that you are referring to shuv-its or other flip tricks. I am still a beginner as well, but when you try a shuv-it, you are supposed to throw it a little bit out in front of you as they boat/ski is pulling you that way. If you try and throw the trick, without pushing it a little out in front of you, you will not be able to catch the board since you are being pulled forward.
