I read a lot of posts in this forum, but i'm still confused about rockers, which one pops more on the wake? on the flat? pros? cons?

Could someone explain me more about, pop, olie power, riding, edging.. in these 3 rockers:

Continious Rocker, pros & cons ??

3-Stage Rocker, pros & cons ??

5-Stage Rocker, pros & cons ??

Since now, thanks...

Continuous- Land easier/smoother especially w2w. More consistent pop off the wake.

3-Stage Pops higher than continuous on flats. Less consistent pop off the wake. Harder landings than continuous

Im not sure about 5-Stage since ive never ridden one.

he just wants to know what the pros and cons are so he can build a preference. And if you kept every pro wakeskater on a sponge, then we wouldnt have most of the tricks we have today

Not that I know of... there's that one custom wakeskate company that can make a continuous rocker for you if you want it...

But back in the day I rode a wakeskate with continuous, and when I switched to one with a three stage, the difference was night and day. If you ask me, staged rockers are much better suited for wakeskate shredd action.

I find that 5 stage really boosts you up into the air off the wake more then 3 stage. 3 stages are easier to get good pop in the flats.

Last year, Brandom Thoma's board, the Karma, by hyperlite was continious:

Well, thanks all for the feedback, but what about the edging, does the different rockers influence in anything??

cons 5 stage feels very slow

pros very stable even with no fins and it has a very skate like pop because the board can roll between the last 2 stages when popping it also gives a very vertical pop w2w with out as much bucking sensation as a 3 stage

Gnarly Dancer 42, yes but uyou get used to it. if u bump the speed up a little you ride higher in the water so it doesnt drag as much. i personally love it. i got a omen yesterday and the first day i went out i landed all my tricks, its more stable than the 3 stage and the drag is easily solved by raising the speed
