If you are looking for some help with your moves, then I'd say it's worth it. Aaron reed obviously knows what he's doing and the instruction is very in depth, so it's going to give you more than one option when it comes to trouble shooting a trick.
One thing people have mentioned is the fact that it's a tad boring. I would agree with this, but then again, it's an instructional and not a freeriding video. The entertaining instructionals I"ve seen really weren't that swell when it came to the "instruction" part. So just watch the section for the trick you're working on before you hit the water (or before you rest your weary eyes if you want to visualize the art of the shred throughout the night) and you'll be good to go.
As a bonus section, each book disk has a. reed's "pro spotlight" from volume's issue two...so if you don't have THAT video, then the book will suffice for now...but eventually you'll need issue two also. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

i was watching the sample chapters online, one was for a bigspin, granted i cant do those, but they had a tip for keeping the board ahead of you so you dont land ahead of it, i used that technique to land my first shuv today, so id think theres gotta be some other helpful stuff in those videos _________________ I run show where ever I go. |

There definitely is something to be learned from the videos. A DVD won't make you land a trick, you have to apply that information to your riding. And maybe with some tricks people need even more help...whatever the case is, the Book DVD series does have a lot of useful information.
But like JB said, the beginner dvd is EXTREMELY beginner-ish... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
